Idea: Exploring more suitable typeface for tech related things like hackathon event, etc. Because from what I found, the use of typeface in most of hackathon poster isn’t really showing the techno vibes as it doesn’t look futuristic enough. The barcode look a like typeface will be used as the title/heading in poster, collateral, etc. to make it looks more futuristic.

REFLECTIONS

Experience
This Advanced Typography module is surely a roller coaster for me. There were times when I had no mood to start the task at all, but there were also times when I really excited with the task, even since the moment it was being explained by Mr. Vinod. Actually, all the tasks given are fun and interesting, but if I have to pick just one, then it'll be the Task 1, especially the finding type exercise. It was indeed fun from the beginning because I can choose whatever I desire to extract them as a typeface. And the execution part was also fascinating. Then if I have to pick one task that I dislike the most, it'll be the final task. It was actually fun at the beginning when designing the typeface, however, I was totally blank and don't know what to do after the whole typeface are done. It was indeed stressful for me because my head felt so empty at that moment and I really had no idea on where to apply the typeface. Beside those ups and downs I faced during this Advanced Typography module in semester 2, I really enjoyed the class with Mr. Vinod. I also went to the offline class twice and met Mr. Vinod face-to-face for the first time, there were many students coming to the class, and the offline class was really fun because of that,  so I think it is included as one of a great experience in my semester 2 journey.

Observations
The additional word 'Advanced' in the module name is indeed reflecting the whole thing I learnt from module. It is named Advanced for a reason. In semester 1's Typography module, I learnt the very basic knowledge of Typography, which is still easy to be understood. However, in this Advanced Typography, there's no basic thing anymore. In order to complete a task, I need to have a good grip of what is being explained by the lecturer. It's not only the understanding, but I also need to analyze this and that to create a nice and meaningful design.

Findings
Throughout this semester, I noticed that I'm still lacking of many things, especially the ability to analyze something. I failed in identifying the purpose of some tasks which result in many things. Sometimes, I even produced artwork that is unrelated to the main intention of the task. But after seeing my classmates' work during the feedback session, I kinda enlightened by that and start fixing or even reworking my artwork. And I also realized that my skill in designing poster is getting worse, I still can't find the reason of it. I was really passionate in designing poster since high school till the 1st semester of uni, but now I think my passion has gone, that's why my design is kinda messy this lately.
