REFLECTIONS

Experience
I had a very long journey in Typography class in this first semester. It was filled with many unexpected things, and was full of surprise and drama. Typography was very new to me and I had never learnt about this before. Nevertheless, during this semester, I gained lots of new knowledge of Typography because the lecturers really taught us all from zero. There's a time when I felt very confident and satisfied with myself and my works, there's also a time when I felt vice versa. At the very beginning, I was very excited about this module, but as time passed, I didn't feel that much fun anymore. I once thought that I don't have any desire for this module, so I wouldn't waste my time doing my best here. However, towards the end of this Typography module, I suddenly regained my spirit. I got back my confidence and decided to put all my best because it's not too late yet. That's why I want to admit that Typography class was very fun!

Observations
Typography really needs much more attention to the details. I have to pay attention to even the small little things which the common people would usually ignore. From this, I realized that I've become more observant and aware of the small details in a design, especially for the Typography part. This also made me realize that Typography really plays a big role in our design. A design without proper Typography will be affected a lot. I also noticed that sometimes, Typography is even dominating the whole design, with just the Typography itself.

Findings
Throughout this semester, I noticed my improvement in some skills. I started this module with no experience, but now I can manage to complete the challenging tasks. This made me realize that patience and persistence are the keys. To be able to produce great work, I need to be in a good environment so I can gain positivity. With that, I can control my patience when working on my tasks. Typography module also made me become more persistent since it has structured planning on what to do and the exact deadline. And the feedback I received from my lecturers got me more motivated in completing my tasks.
